last half day and then a long ride home
well it's my last day in wisconsin. we are leaving around one o'clock to go back MI. i got a talked to nicole more in depth about the ar situation and it worked out really well.
her car's alternator slowly broke and they were not very mobile. they called a tow truck and since no places were open the tow-trucker-guy said that he could fix it. so they bought the part and he fixed it in about 2 hours. when nicole asked him how much he just said, "ummm, 25 dollars i guess." so nicole gave him 50 and was on her way. the trip took about twice as long as usual with the car troubles and waiting they had to do. the cool thing is how everything worked out so well.
anyway i played cards last night and it rocked. i learned a game called Golf which is really easy, but fun. I also played two games of euchre and won both times.
inbetween the card games i watched the det. pistons win game 5.
after that it was inda late but there were tons of people over. i went downstairs close to the pool and talked to people for about 3 hours. it was very open and deep spiritual conversations about the Church, open-theism, and predestination type stuff. i really enjoyed it and it was very relaxed and felt very unplanned. i don't know how to say it, but it was cool.
after everyone went home me and kite talked for another couple hours and then finally decided to call it quits.
this trip was definately worth it. even though some of yesterday was filled with blank pauses and smiles in front of kite's much quiter family, the conversation and general free-ness of the trip was really fun.
i am really glad i got a chance to meet kite's family.
they are cool.
o. one more thing.
kite's family hasn't seen him since his birthday early in the month, so his mom made 'birthday doughnuts' they were really good, but thats not the point. so everytime someone came in and ate a doughnut Kite's whole family, including grandparents, would sing happy birthday to him. not just one verde but the whole thing. that made me laugh everytime.
alright, i'm out.
